Isineti Project
On Congregation land in the heart of Maasai territory: a work that is just beginning, and already has water running through it.
Where and why
Isineti stands on land of the Congregation in Kajiado, towards the Kilimanjaro highlands, in the heart of Maasai territory. It has two goals, and they are meant to hold each other up: to serve the Maasai community, and to help sustain the works of the Delegation.
The first building was completed in May 2026. That is the honest measure of where this project stands: at the beginning.
What is already real
Water
Free access to clean water, for people and for livestock. In a pastoralist land in a time of recurring drought, this is not a service among others. Water is life, work and dignity — and whoever controls it controls all three.
Agricultural training
Training for Maasai women and young people: kitchen gardens, water management, organic fertilisation. More than fifteen families have been trained so far, with SlovakAid and with the Orione Community Training Centre.
Basic economics and human development
Formation in the ordinary skills that decide whether a good harvest becomes a better life: how to count, how to price, how to save, how to plan for the next dry season.
Water is life, work and dignity.
Isineti ProjectThe roots: the Kilimanjaro farm
Isineti did not appear from nothing. Since 2021 the Delegation has worked the “Kilimanjaro farm”: about twenty acres of fertile volcanic soil, growing maize, beans, cabbages, onions, peppers and cassava, irrigated from a solar-powered borehole.
The harvest feeds the Orione Community Training Centre, and the surplus is sold at local markets. And Maasai women cultivate there — without having to migrate to find work, which is to say without their families being broken up first.
Isineti is the next chapter of that story: accompanying a proud pastoralist people, through drought that returns and returns, towards new sources of sustenance — not instead of their way of life, but alongside it.

One building stands. The land, the water and the people are there. What happens next depends on friends who are willing to build with a project rather than after it.
